What is: " Worship In Spirit And In Truth "... and, what does that mean, for God's Own True People?

Question: " What does it mean to worship The Lord in spirit and truth "?

Answer: The concept of worshiping: “ In Spirit And In Truth ” - while, consistently, being referenced throughout all of the scriptures - has been most clearly presented in Jesus’ Conversation With The Woman At The Well in John 4:6-30. In that particular conversation, the woman was discussing places of worship with Jesus, saying that: The Jews worshiped at Jerusalem, while The Samaritans worshiped at Mount Gerizim.  Jesus' own well-reasoned response was ( simply ): “ But the hour is coming, and now is, when The True Worshipers shall worship the father In Spirit And In Truth - for, the Father seeks such individuals to worship in Him ” ( John 4:23-24 ).

The True Lesson that Jesus was attempting to get across, in this passage, is that:

1. It has never mattered, Where We Geographically Worship Our Father The Creator...
2. It has never mattered, Which Specific Location That We Usually Come Together In...
3. It has never mattered, The Formal Religious Methodologies Outwardly Employed...
4. But rather, The Condition Of Our Own Heart And Mind Is Of Singular Importance! 

The First Key: Has Always Been To Worship Him In Spirit....

God's Own Words are The Only Ones That Matter!

In fact, dear brothers and sisters: ' Those Who Worship In Spirit Are No Longer Even Worried About The Actual Letter Of His Law, Since In Keeping To The True Spirit Of His Law They Have Now Overcome Such Narrow Minded And Legalistic Stumbling Blocks '... and, this is what is meant by: " Jesus Came To Amplify ( Or, Glorify ) The Law " ( Mathew 5:17-20 ).

Take, for instance, The Simple Moral Commandment of: " Thou Shalt Not Murder " - which, according to The Letter Of His Law, could ( be logically argued to ) allow any of the following:

• Ignoring the life threatening conditions of another...
• Turning someone over to their own actual enemies...
• Or, simply manipulating events so that another might even do it for you!

And, even more cleverly, by altering that wording only slightly we can now arrive at: " Thou Shalt Not Kill " - which, According To The Very Same Letter, may then situationally justify ( in its own absolute terms ):

• Remaining apathetic to any amount of injustice being unduly perpetrated against others...
• Allowing such inhumane treatment, when we are the only ones with the power to stop it... 
• Or, Absolving our own selves from blame, when we have always had the power to change it!

This Unwarranted Killing is: " Upon Your Hands "!

- the classic example of which, may be found in The Crucifixion Of Christ - wherein, Pontius Pilate Merely Washed His Own Hands In A Basin, in order to symbolically transfer his own sins to all of those equally guilty others, as he allowed an innocent man to be unjustly crucified without even lifting a finger to factually assist him.

While, The Spirit Of His Law, tells all of us to ( quite clearly ):

• Feed All Of Those That Are Starving...
• Assist All Of Those That Are In Need Of It...
• Heal All Of Those Who Are Sick...
• Raise Up All Of Those Who Are Downtrodden...
• And, Fight For All Of Those Who Are Truthfully Defenseless....

In the end, Chaos is only ever checked by Control!

And, as crazy as the world ( now currently ) is: ' You May, In Fact, Have To Actually Kill In Order To Stop The Murder Of Yet Others '... because, The Only Thing That Those Evil Ones Truly Understand Is The Equal Application Of Force!

Perhaps, Its ( now ) finally time to: " Get Smart "....

The Second Key: Has Always Been To Worship Him In Truth....

It isn't just ( merely ): " Superstition ".

In fact, dear brothers and sisters: ' Those Who Worship In Truth Will Earnestly Desire Above All Else To Do Everything Possible To Please Their Own God And Creator, No Matter Who And How Many Stand Against Them '... because, in the much grander scheme of things, it has already been written: " Without Faith It Is Impossible To Please Him, For He Who Comes To God Must: 1.) Believe That He Is and 2.) That He Rewards Those Who Diligently Seek Him " ( Hebrews 11:6 ).

You see, dear brothers and sisters, the word Christ-ian ( quite literally ) refers to: " A Personal Follower In The Footsteps Of Christ "... and, as such, it factually denotes: A Quality Of Spiritual Earnestness and A Level Of Physical Commitment - that, goes far beyond anything being claimed by that specific terminology today!

And, consequently therefore, it was Yahshua [ Himself ] who so long ago warned you:

" Many will say to Me in that day: ‘ Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? ’ And then, I will declare to them: ‘ I Never Knew You; Depart From Me, You Who Practice Lawlessness! ’ " - Mathew 7:22-23.

- and, then, went on To Explain Their Own True Problem:

" ' Therefore Whoever Hears These Sayings Of Mine [ Among Those Who Have Claimed To Study My Own Teachings ], And Factually Does Them [ No Matter What Anyone Else May Honestly Tell Them ], I will liken him to A Wise Man Who Built His House Upon The Rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house [ Because, These Same Events Were Assured To You Beforehand ]; and It Did Not Fall, For It Was Founded Upon The Rock.

But Everyone Who Hears These Sayings Of Mine [ Among Those Who Have Claimed To Study My Own Teachings ], And Actually Does Not Do Them [ No Matter What Anyone Else May Honestly Tell Them ], will be like A Foolish Man Who Built His House Upon The Sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house [ Because, These Same Events Were Assured To You Beforehand ]; and It Fell... And, Great Was Its Fall. '

And, so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching; for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. " - Mathew 7:24-29.

You see, dear brothers and sisters, Both Of Those Examples Above Claimed To Be Christian... and yet, only one of them ( in all honesty ): " Worshiped Him In Truth "!
